CATD Celebrates Achievements at the September 2025 FNU Graduation Ceremony

The Centre for Appropriate Technology and Development celebrated the academic achievements of its graduating class at the Fiji National University (FNU) Graduation Ceremony held at the FNU Nasinu Campus on 26 September 2025.

A total of seventy-six CATD graduates were conferred with qualifications across key vocational trades, including engineering, plumbing, welding, two-stroke engine maintenance, and automotive repair. The ceremony marked the successful completion of a rigorous one-year journey, during which students from various provinces across Fiji and Rotuma were equipped with both practical skills and essential life values.

The graduates were reminded of their critical role in shaping Fiji’s future, particularly in addressing the substantial need for skilled professionals in the national economy. CATD Manager Training, Mr. Opeti Ritova, highlighted that the institution’s approach goes beyond technical instruction, focusing on building a generation that is technically competent, culturally rooted, and prepared for community leadership. The graduation signifies the commitment of CATD to empowering youth and delivering a highly skilled workforce ready to contribute to nation-building.
