Carpentry General

Learn modern carpentry from blueprint to build. Our one year programme blends on campus theory and practical workshops with an industry attachment, finishing with a trade test and a clear path into the workforce.

Course Overview

The Carpentry General programme prepares you for site-ready work in framing, structures, and finishing. Intakes run in January and July. Semester 1 combines classroom learning with hands-on labs. Semester 2 is an industrial attachment capped by a trade test. With rolling intakes at CATD, exams run in June and November, and graduations in April and September. Graduate ready for apprentice carpenter and entry level construction roles.
