Nurturing a New Generation

At CATD, student life is intentionally structured to be more than just an academic journey.

It's a transformative experience rooted in our holistic educational model and our iTaukei culture. While we are a fully recognized higher education institution, our campus operates with the structured routine of a traditional boarding school, creating an ideal environment for growth.

This unique approach is designed to provide long-lasting impacts on our students; behavior and mindset, preparing them to be agents of change in their communities.

A Year of Learning, Service, and Growth

Our one-year training program balances 20 weeks of face-to-face theory and practical work with a 12-week industrial attachment. The daily and weekly timetables are carefully designed to integrate our five pillars of transformation:

  1. Technical & Vocational Training (TVET): Our days are dedicated to competency- based training in trades like carpentry, welding, and plumbing, with a 70% practical focus.
  2. Spiritual Development: The day begins with morning devotion, and we engage in prayer services and choir practice on weekends.
  3. Physical Health: Afternoon duties and scheduled sports activities promote physical well-being.
  4. Cultural Revitalization: We instill cultural pride through activities and a focus on traditional customs.
  5. Financial Literacy: We provide workshops and opportunities to learn about financial management and cooperatives.

Through this disciplined yet nurturing environment, we empower students to develop vital skills and a new mindset, ensuring they return to their villages equipped to lead and prosper.
