Welding Fabrication
Learn structural and sheet-metal welding with industry tools and safety standards. One year of campus training plus an industrial attachment, ending with a trade test and job ready skills.
Course Overview
The Welding Fabrication programme prepares you for real workshop work MIG, TIG, and Stick alongside reading drawings, measuring, and safety. Intakes are January and July. Semester 1 blends theory and practical labs. Semester 2 is an industrial attachment followed by a trade test. With CATD’s rolling intake, exams run in June and November, and graduations in April and September.
Tuition & Fees
This new program is designed to make CATD training more affordable while ensuring core support remains in place. If you are not employed after completing your training, you won’t be required to begin repayments until you secure a job.

Where could this programme take you?
Build core welding skills across materials and joints, master basic fabrication, and follow industry safety and QC practices. After on-campus study and a supervised placement, you’ll sit the trade test and graduate the following year. Typical pathways include welder/fabricator, workshop technician, or entry-level roles in construction, manufacturing, and maintenance.
